Futura Safety Valve

The safety valve is a metal or alloy plug fitted into the lid of the pressure cooker that acts as a backup safety system if internal pressure becomes dangerously high. If the primary pressure release system (weight/whistle or vent) fails or gets blocked, this valve automatically activates.

How it works

• Under normal cooking pressure, the valve remains sealed.
• If pressure exceeds the safe limit:
  • The special fusible alloy inside the valve softens/melts.
  • This allows steam to escape immediately.
  • It prevents lid rupture or explosion.
